Sir Salman Rushdie is a world renowned awarding winning author, known for works such as Midnight’s Children and The Satanic Verses. Rushdie delivered his lecture, “Wonder Tales: East Meets West” at the IU Auditorium during the IU Art & Humanities Council’s India Remixed festival. Rushdie’s lecture focused on the differences that eastern and western cultures had in their approaches to fiction. Before Rushdie’s lecture, IU President Michael McRobbie award him an Honorary Degree for his work in literature.
