Honorary Indiana University Alumni Designation
Many people who support IU never attended a class or graduated. They donate time and money because they believe in the mission of Indiana University. The Honorary Indiana University Alumni Designation allows Indiana University officers, chancellors, deans, and IU Alumni Association members in good standing to recognize IU’s valued friends who are not alums. The designation allows IU to acknowledge extraordinary service or merit of an individual who does not hold an IU degree nor qualify for an honorary degree.
Individuals granted Honorary Indiana University Alumni Status receive a formal certificate from the IU Alumni Association and have their names added to a record or individuals who have achieved the status.
To nomination an individual for this status, please download the IUAA policy on this page, review the nominee’s qualifications, and contact IUAA at email@example.com.
