Many Indiana University professors, administrators, and students have participated in the United States Military. Additionally, from 1917 through 1964, IU mandated military training for all able-bodied first and second year males.
This timeline provides a sample of how the women and men of IU have been involved in U.S. military history from the War of 1812 through the Iraq War that began in 2003.
