Description of Funded Activity

The Monroe County History Center has recreated the campus studio that famed Hoosier Group artist T.C. Steele used during his time as Indiana University’s artist-in-residence.

This recreation of Steele’s studio will include original Steele paintings, studio furniture, and weave the artist’s story, the campus story, and the historical relationship between IU and its surroundings.

The exhibit has been digitized by IU’s Advanced Visualization Lab. Take a tour!
