One of the outputs of the Bridging the Visibility Gap project was the addition of named awards, positions, and spaces at IU for women and people of color. Bicentennial staff research and advocacy also led to the creation and dedication of portraits, statues, and historical markers that honored individuals from groups who have often been overlooked for this sort of recognition.
